Our liberal media just can’t get enough of bug-eyed loons—as long as they’re conservatives. Last week, New York Times Magazine ran a lengthy piece on Glenn Beck.
This weekend (as Zandar noted here), the Times published a “fair and balanced” portrait of right-wing nutcase Pam Geller. Both pieces covered the “controversial” aspects of their subjects. But both failed to state the obvious fact that Beck and Geller are nuttier than a pair of squirrel turds.
Of course, their hyper-inflated sense of victimhood makes people like Beck and Geller incapable of appreciating the kid-glove treatment they receive from mainstream media outlets. In response to the NYT piece that portrayed her as a lovable neocon Carrie Bradshaw, Geller huffed:
As expected, the New York Times did an extraordinarily nasty and fallacious piece on me. It is full of distortions, inaccuracies and lies from beginning to end.
Well, yeah. But not in the way you think.
PS: I think this is the part that really pissed her off:
“Ms. Geller, 52…”
Not that there’s anything wrong with being 52. But something tells me a woman capable of unleashing this* on an unsuspecting world does not view even the distant prospect of approaching bubbehood sanguinely.
