This open letter from the mother of a gay boy in a small town filled with homophobes is an inspiring read. I feel bad for the kid's suffering, and there is nothing fortunate about that. But he is fortunate to have a mom who is so brave and eloquent in his defense, and who loves him with nothing but pride.
