The Republicans have begun talking up the Bush era. They couldn’t possibly be that stupid, could they? I mean, Republicans push a lot of stupid, asinine ideas but generally they’re pretty decent at the marketing stuff.
I can’t imagine that their brilliant idea for the fall is “remember that guy that almost destroyed America? That, again!”
Come October (correction: Bush’s book is coming out right after the election, but the innards will likely come out pre-election), Bush’s new book that somebody wrote for him is going to come out. It will no doubt be accompanied by a PR blitz of some sort. Are Democrats going to end up sending Bush a thank you card? I am more than willing to send a bouquet to Cheney.
